Lacy's story...
Our 2 year old Lacy is a true lover dog! She loves all people, loves belly rubs, and is very playful. She's a gorgeous brown and white medium-size AmStaff mix who was rescued from a kill-shelter in NY. We need to find her a NEW FOSTER or ADOPTER Immediately!

Lacy is like a little shadow following her care giver everywhere. She knows sit and responds very well on the leash to corrections. She also enjoys fetch, if you throw a ball she will run to it, pounce on it and shake it like the silly girl that she is. Her only downside is that she needs to be an ONLY pet. Lacy chases cats and, although she has lived with an alfa female dog, she has also shown aggression towards other dogs. So, unless you are a very experienced dog owner and have experience integrating difficult dogs, we feel she should only be fostered by or adopted to someone who only wants ONE DOG. Lacy is truly a perfectly joyful girl, despite these limitations.

Lacy has experienced some trauma early in life and needs someone who is home often. She has separation anxiety and needs someone who can help rehabilitate her...to teach her that her caregiver is always going to come back. She was also pregnant when found in NY and had her puppies shortly after, but then all of her pups passed away of fading puppy syndrome. As you can imagine, she was very depressed after that, but she eventually came back around. Her spirits are great now and it is time for her to find her permanent family. Unfortunately we need to find her a NEW FOSTER immediately since she is currently stuck in boarding and we cannot afford to keep her there much longer.

Please consider FOSTERING or ADOPTING this adorable gal, LACY! We are DESPERATE! Fostering is free; there is a fee to adopt. If interested, contact April at 917-270-3841 or email muttsandmitts@optonline.net

Lacy has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped! She is one of the dogs Mutts & Mitts of Brooklyn rescued from a kill-shelter.
