Ziggy's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Ziggy's Story...
Looking for a big, cuddly chocolate teddy bear? We have one named Ziggy! Ziggy is about 3 years old and a big boy at 80 lbs.

Ziggy loves nothing more than to be by your side. He enjoys chasing a ball, but even more than that, he enjoys being with his people. Ziggy is still on the young side and has some learning to do. He's really eager to please. He just needs a little direction. Ziggy would be a loyal companion to kids. Due to his size, he would be best with kids over about 8 or 9 years old.

Ziggy gets along great with other dogs. Either he doesn't notice or doesn't care about the cats in his foster home... not yet anyway! Like most Labradors, Ziggy is a real water dog! He loves to splash & play in the water, like most Labradors. His forever home will need a fence around the pool, if they have one.

Ziggy is house broken and crate trained. We are working on walking nicely on the leash, but it is so hard to be good when there is so much to see & smell out in the world!

If you are interested in providing a loving, forever home for Ziggy, please complete our Adoption Application at http://www.lonestarlabrescue.org/applications.html

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ziggy, a Coppell Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Coppell, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Coppell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Coppell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Coppell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Coppell paves the way for another one to be saved.
