Jaci's Story...
Jaci is an adorable little dog that is looking to find her forever home. She is approximately 2 years old, weighs around 28 pounds and should still gain a few pounds. She was underweight when she came into rescue and very shy, but she is now doing great! She is a mixed breed with a guess of yellow Lab, maybe Sheltie, Border Collie, it is hard to say!! She is housebroken, crate trained, great with other dogs, and currently living in a foster home with another bigger dog. She is also living with 2 cats and a 2 year old toddler and everyone gets along very well. Jaci loves to play and we think she didn't know what toys were before rescue and all she wants to do is play now. She is extremely sweet and loves to cuddle up and sleep with you at night, as her foster mom loves it just as much. Jaci is spayed, current on vaccines including boosters, rabies and lepto, heartworm tested negative (should be re-tested in 6 months for accuracy), microchipped, negative fecal test for internal parasites, current on flea and heartworm prevention. Adoption donation is $150 and a home visit is required for adoption and an approved adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jaci, a Anderson Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Border Collie for sale in Anderson, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Anderson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Anderson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Anderson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Border Collie breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Anderson paves the way for another one to be saved.
