My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We could go on all day about Ava!  She is one of those dogs that you meet and she forever leaves her paw prints on your heart.  Ava is truly a rare find and whoever ends up with her in their family will be unbelievably lucky.  Ava come so close to losing her life in a high kill shelter in GA.  She was seized after being found in a kennel full of trash and her former owners had been trying to fight her.  They claimed she wasn't a fighter and left her with an injury to her leg that was extremely painful.  After being taken in to our rescue, we treated all of her injuries as well as her heartworms.  Ava is no longer emaciated, is healthy and happy.  She is one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet.  Ava absolutely loves attention, soaking up every bit she can get and absolutely loves car rides. She is housebroken, wonderful with children and is fabulous with dogs both big and small.  We love this girl and although our hearts will hurt when she leaves us, we know she is ready for her forever family.  Ava is as good as they come, meet her and you'll see.  She may have scars from her former life, but she has nothing but love to give.  She smiles when she gets excited and makes us smile, everyday.  We love you Ava!
