Christmas Puddin''s Story...
This cute little guy is a pure bred shih Tzu. He will be 3 years old on January 15th. He was with his mom and her son and another older dog when they became stranded in TN. They were all living in their car and it was very cold and rainy. We were able to help them out and get them off the street but she could only keep one dog in the housing we got for them so she kept the older dog and said good bye to Christmas Puddin', We promised her and him that we would get him a wonderful, secure forever home. He has now been neutered, is UTD on shots and is HW tested negative. Puddin' would do best in a home with adults or older children. He is fine with other dogs and cats. If you would like to give this handsome young man the first of many happy holidays, please contact lorainecm@comcast.net.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Christmas Puddin', a Hagerstown Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
