Mia's Story...
Mia was dumped by her owner at the county pound when her foster parents saved her in the 11th hour. She had been there for a full month but was passed over despite her super sweet purrsonality and gorgeous coloring. Her coat is so soft & she is a very gentle, sweet girl. Mia loves being around her foster parents. She follows them around the house & meows when she wants to be fed. Mia does well with dogs, uses her litter box, & never scratches anything except her scratching post. She jumps up onto the sink when her foster mama is washing her hands & puts her head under the running water. Her favorite spot in her foster home is under the kitchen sink, in the cabinet. She is such a funny, sweet girl & her adoptive parents will be so lucky to have her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mia, a Tampa Calico cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Calico cat from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
