No animal should ever be treated this way. Kathy was starved nearly to death on the end of a heavy chain, no food, no water - in the hot July sun. Her best friend, a male Akita, was already dead from heat and starvation. Luckily Kathy clung to life, just enough so that a neighbor called the police Fast forward to now, here is Kathy ready for her new home. She is only 2 years old and has seen such a hard life already. Kathy is very sweet, smart, and eager to please. She loves people (can you imagine that, even after what has been done to her) and treats everyone like her best friend. Kathy now walks well on leash and knows a few commands. Can you open your heart and home to this very special Akita so that she will never have to live through this again?
