Justice is a strikingly beautiful yellow lab mix. He has turned one year old and we just love this handsome fellow! He loves to take car rides, and is great with other dogs, lives peacefully with a cat, two pomeranians and a bird. He tips the scales at 61 lbs and is a sturdy sweet boy. He is fantastic with kids and loves to learn new things and have new adventures. He is very smart and is learning quickly in foster not to jump on people, how to go on walks properly, etc. He meets new people well and confidently, which wasn't always the case. He loves kids and would love to live with someone who hikes and runs. He is a little too bouncy for babies or toddlers right now but he's so smart that he would learn how to behave with patient positive training. To help drain some of his energy his foster family has been placing a doggie pack on him with water bottles in the pouches. He took to the pack nicely without a problem so now he can carry your lunch while hiking if you like!
Justice doesn't mind being crated and you might find him in there just resting. He would be a great dog for an active family withor without children. He does well with cats but does need to be reminded that it is not okay to chase them.
Justice and his sister Liberty were found last September 11th in a southern trailer park, a young man had contacted our partner rescue there because no one would help these dogs. He found them on a dirt road and they were so skinny that you could see every bone in Justice's body. Liberty, his beautiful sister, would not eat her food until Justice ate all he wanted, and she was very protective of him in the beginning when other dogs would come around but as he got healthier she no longer felt the need to protect him, just to play with him and drive him a little crazy, like all good sisters do! Now they are ready to go their separate ways and find wonderful forever families. He definitely needs to go where there is another dog in the family.

Please note, we do not have a physical location, but we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.
