Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We would like to explain that if you are looking for a perfect dog, they are rarely found in rescue. Our dogs often have unknown histories and we do our very best to evaluate each dog with kids, cats, and other dogs as well as determine how they behave in a home. It is important to understand that we have some specific criteria for each dog based on their backgrounds and input from their foster families. The purpose of these criteria is to better match each dog with an appropriate family. While a certain dog might appeal to you based on breed, size, gender or appearance, you may not match the listed criteria. Please understand that we are not trying to make adoption difficult—we are trying to make each adoption successful for the dog and the new family.

If you have children, we suggest that prior to applying for a dog, you view the website http://www.livingwithkidsanddogs.com. The information is excellent and can help you determine which dog would be right for your family.
Rosie is a delightful 3 year old English Coonhound who weighs 48 pounds. She loves to give hugs and enjoys going for walks. Rosie is doing great on housetraining and walks well on a leash. She's also crate trained. Rosie loves running around in the fenced yard and will need a fence in her new home. She is great with kids and other dogs, but due to her prey drive she is not safe with cats or other small animals. Rosie is with a 501c3 rescue. Her $300 adoption fee is to cover her heartworm test, spay, immunizations, worming and her HomeAgain microchip.
To ensure that this dog thrives in his new home and that the adoption works out for the dog and your family, these are the requirements for adoption. These criteria are not negotiable. If you do not meet these criteria, please choose another dog that will work out better for your family.
