My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The story of Solomon and Adrienne is becoming all too common in today's world. They were the beloved companions of an older woman who was suffering from Alzheimer's disease. She'd had them since they were babies (Solomon is 2 years old and weighs 5 lbs....Adrienne is 2.5 years old and weighs 5 lbs as well. They are said to be half siblings sharing the same Maltese mom.) As their guardian slipped further into her disease, these pups were forgotten to the point of not being fed. Our Oklahoma rescuer was contacted in hopes of helping Solomon and Adrienne find a forever family where they would be properly cared for and truly loved. The relative hoped that the pups would not have to go to a shelter...we couldn't have agreed more! Sad goodbyes were said and Solomon and Adrienne were on their way to be vetted, temperament tested and to a foster home to be loved and treated...but also to be reminded of appropriate home behavior. Their socialization started that day as they were introduced to their foster family of 2 older kids and 3 smaller dogs. The fact that was immediately obvious was that Solomon and Adrienne were completely bonded! Their relationship was very soothing to them when they were together....when not together, they were engaging and friendly but you could see them looking off for the other. We made the immediate decision that this was most definitely a bonded pair and we needed to honor the power of their relationship. We're searching for a very loving and gentle family...it seems that a retired couple or individual would be perfect for these 2. If given the time and opportunity...Solomon and Adrienne would be the most bonded and devoted duo anyone could imagine. They would be overjoyed with long walks with their favorite people on the Colorado trails while learning greater socialization skills as they greet the other walkers. Since together, they only weigh 10 lbs...they'd be great travelers by car or under the seat on a plane. They're very easy to take along just about anywhere...they're so happy and positive. Once they find their forever family, these 2 will have their dreams come true. They can recall a time when food was plentiful and belly rubs were the order of the day....we want that life for them again. We know that anyone who is searching for lap dogs... who will return love their love a million times over... will fall in love with our awesome Solomon and Adrienne. Please excuse the horrible & scary shelter photo...it speaks of the terrible neglect suffered by these 2 wonderful dogs. Once groomed & cared for, these 2 will be every bit as beautiful as they were as puppies. These are non-shedding pups and will therefore require periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep their coats healthy and matt-free. Solomon and Adrienne will be arriving on transport in Denver on 12/21. Applications are currently being accepted for this bonded pair who will bring twice the love and companionship to their lucky forever family.
