My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Doggy, a 16-month-old, male, Briard-x. No doubt about it, he is a stunning dog – tall, lean and elegant. This fellow finds himself at Animatch because his senior guardian was left with a rambunctious, adolescent dog and could not meet his needs Animatch was asked for assistance in finding Doggy his forever home. He is a herding dog and does tend to round up his “flock” and since not many sheep cross his path, more than likely small dogs or small children will be used as stand-ins. Herding breeds can be a challenge so an experienced guardian would be recommended. Doggy would benefit from obedience training so that he can begin the process of becoming a good canine citizen. Since arriving at the Centre, he has displayed some signs of separation anxiety. Consequently, he would benefit from a guardian who understands how to work with such a dog. He loves his human and will never be far from you but he must also be encouraged to be independent. He is athletic and agile and he will need to exercise both his body and his mind; if you are a dog sports enthusiast, Doggy would be ready, willing and able. If you don’t like shaggy dogs, a Briard is not for you; debris does tend to stick to their coat so frequent brushing and grooming is a must. Doggy is ready to move into your house and into your heart. If you feel you have what it takes to ensure that Doggy has a home for the remainder of his life, please fill in the Adoption Form.
