Sinatra's Story...
Frank Sinatra, aka Frankie, was an outdoor stray who was way too sweet to be hanging with the rough crowd on the streets. Once brought indoors, he was a bit out of sorts, and quite vocal, crooning frequently, so we named him Sinatra. Today, he's adapted wonderfully to the indoors (though still likes to stare out the window and remember old times), and while he is still generally vocal, it's only when he's bored or wants to be with you. He has a sweet, dainty meow and a very mellow personality. He's a big gentle boy, and just loves to be pet and to lounge around with you. He's happiest with you, preferably touching you, even if it's just a paw draped over your arm. If you work from home, you will probably need to shut him off from you, as his need to be with you includes lying across your work stuff, including your keyboard. Anything to be close to you! He coexists with other cats that leave him alone. He will hiss if another cat gets too close, but he never provokes, and will walk away if another cat tries to provoke him. Frankie is a truly wonderful cat and will make a wonderful companion for someone who is willing to give him the attention he craves. He has not been tested with dogs or children, but it seems like dogs could be fine if they leave him alone, and he would likely be good with kids given how gentle he is.

All HART kittens and cats are vet checked, combo tested, spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and on flea and tick preventative.

If you are interested in any of our kitties, you must complete an online cat adoption application - Click Here. The application will put you in touch with this wonderful cat's foster family so you can schedule a meeting. Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sinatra, a Cincinnati Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
