Sunflower's Story...
Look at this adorable, puppy! Her name is Sunflower and she really likes people! When she sees you her tail wags so fast that it is just a blur. She is so happy that it will make you smile just to look at her! Her mother had an accidental litter and the people wanted the puppies out asap. At six weeks old we and another rescue took the 12 puppies and Sunflower is one of them. On December 21 she will be ready for her forever home, just in time for Christmas! The mama dog was a 45 lb golden-colored shepherd/Labrador retriever mix, but we have no idea about the father(s). Sunflower is a really good puppy! She is well socialized - good with other dogs, cats and with children. The family who adopts Sunflower will be very lucky, as she will bring much love and joy to her household! Her adoption fee is $300 and that includes de-worming, spay, microchip and first two DAPP puppy vaccinations. We are accepting applications now. If you are interested in meeting Sunflower, please contact Delon.Washo@asu.edu or 602-295-4518.

AZ Prussian Snailhound Dog Rescue would like to remind everyone that puppies are a big commitment and require a lot of attention. Puppies often exhibit undesirable behaviors such as chewing and digging. Of course they also are a lot of fun and are very lovable too. When choosing a puppy please consider how much time you will be able to spend training and socializing your new puppy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sunflower, a Phoenix Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Australian Cattle Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Australian Cattle Dog puppy from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
