Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Angie. I am the Animal Care Representative for Alamo Heights and I am Elvis' foster mom so he is living at my house right now. Elvis was found with a broken leg that had already started healing incorrectly and was infected. He was dragging it around and couldn't use it at all. After a few vet visits, when we had stabilized Elvis' condition, it was decided that the best course of treatment would be an amputation.
Elvis' leg was amputated a few weeks ago now and most people don't even realize he only has three legs until I mention it. He loves playing fetch and chase and gets around great with just three legs.
Elvis is very sweet and has never met a person he doesn't like but he does alert me by barking and whining at the door when someone is walking near my house. Once I check out the situation and tell him it is ok he quiets down though. Elvis is good with other dogs but I don't let him play with cats yet.
Elvis is very very smart and playful and his smile is contagious. Ever since I have brought him home to foster he has brightened up every day! If you have any questions or want to set up a time to meet Elvis please contact me directly at angela.marzec@gmail.com or 210-832-2216.
