Blackie's Story...
This is the gentlest, happiest guy you will ever meet! He is a German SHorthair Pointer/ LAB mix?? He is about 55 pounds and 4 years old. He loves attention, loves his doggie roommates and will roll over for belly rubs when kids approach him! If you look closely you will notice that Blackie has four white paws with black freckles. ☺
He loves to watch the squirrels and bunnies out the window and wants to chase them outside, so Blackie will need a fenced yard !!
Blackie has very nice house manners, is potty trained, crate trained and waits his turn for treats! He loves to snuggle at his foster dad’s feet, under the desk, while he is working.
He walks well on his leash and does great on car rides!
All Blackie wants is his very own family!!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blackie, a Minnetonka Labrador Retriever/German Shorthaired Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/German Shorthaired Pointer for sale in Minnetonka, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/German Shorthaired Pointer dog from a breeder in Minnetonka.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minnetonka already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minnetonka breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/German Shorthaired Pointer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/German Shorthaired Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minnetonka paves the way for another one to be saved.
