This gorgeous young lady is Penelope. Penelope is a 5 year old cattle dog/beagle mix that would love a great home of her own. Penelope had a home at one point in her life but for some reason, she was given away. Now this family is surrendering her too, and poor Penelope doesn't know why no one will keep her forever. Penelope is shy when she first meets new people, but once she gets to know you, she will be your best friend. This sweet, beautiful little girl is truly just a gentle soul that wants to sit beside you and be loved. Though she looks like a shy and cautious dog, once she sniffs you and realizes you're okay, she'll will hop up on a bench and sit right next to you. She really loves people, especially people that are kind to her, that will take her for a leisurely stroll and allow her to check out the world around her, that will pet her gently and tell her everything will be ok. Penelope is perfectly behaved and such a lady. She would prefer a home with no small children under the age of 10. She walks well on a leash and is very courteous while passing other dogs by. Penelope has yet to find that special someone that will give her the wonderful life she's dreaming of, but she is still hoping that they'll come along and notice her, and make her a part of their family forever.
