Mavrik's Story...
Maverick is an AMAZING little guy. He was surrendered b/c his family had a new baby and sometime sis doesn't like to be messed with when he is trying to snooze. He is VERY friendly and eager to please. He is potty trained, loves his stuffies and sqeakers. He likes to snuggle up close to you as much as you will allow. He would make a wonderful pet for an older person/couple that stays home or is home a great deal. He doesn't require a kennel and doesn't mind other dogs (though he prefers female dogs as he tries to alpha males by marking). Maverick is good with older kids but like any small dog he get grouchy when children aren't careful with him.

He is 100% UTD on vaccinations & he is neutered.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mavrik, a Columbia Heights Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Columbia Heights, or seeking a Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Columbia Heights.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbia Heights already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbia Heights breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbia Heights paves the way for another one to be saved.
