found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, purebred, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.
Although McKinney's vision & hearing has been compromised in his prior life, he is in no pain and adapts well to his surroundings & soon will make himself right at home. His foster mom says "he is an easy keeper - housetrained, uses the doggy door, and gets along with other dogs." McKinney does enjoy the ability to roam a fenced yard, but not so much going on leash walks (due to vision). If you're looking for a little lap dog who loves to give sweet gentle kisses and wants nothing more than to keep you company, McKinney is the dog for you!
If you are interested in adopting Mckinney, you can fill out an application right at our website! Go to dreamhappytails.org/adoptform.shtml. Mckinney 's adoption fee is $275. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Mckinney will go to his/her new home microchipped, altered, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccinations. Most dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees.
DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta, North Georgia and Savannah area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of these areas. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxies's back.
