Meet gorgeous Sperry, one of the most unusually striking dogs we have ever rescued. Sperry is a one year old female Akita and Heeler mix (or maybe Besingi?!) - with gorgeous brindle spots, beautiful big ears and long Akita legs. She is nicely energetic, but not a crazy girl. Not a big girl either, Sperry weighs 42 lbs and is lean and healthy. Rescued out of a high kill shelter in the north Georgia mountains- Sperry is just one of the few lucky ones to get out of GA alive. Close to a million dogs die every year in Georgia alone. So we rescue as many great dogs as we can (they are all great- like Sperry!) and get them out of the crappy south and to the northwest where we find great adopters like you. Sperry would love to be your go-to girl for hiking and running, adventure planning and errand-running! She just wants to be with you! Sperry is quiet and unassuming, she will fit in where ever you want her too. She is super smart and is working on her basic commands. Sperry is crate trained, good with other dogs and fine with kids. She is affectionate and adorable and really ready for her forever home! Her BFF is little heeler Keeley and they play fast and furious together! She's been in boarding and foster and now headed west on a 5 day transport..so she's been through a bunch and is still happy and bright-eyed and ready to go. Sperry is spayed, micro-chipped and totally vaccinated and will be arriving into Federal Way on Saturday or Sun, Dec 14-15th. She'll be ready and waiting for you!
