Facts about Drake

  • Breed: German Shepherd Dog/American Staffordshire Terrier Mix
  • Color: Brindle
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Drake, along with his mom and 8 littermates, was dropped off at the shelter the day he was born. All of them were placed on the euthanization list. They were all rescued and taken to a foster home where they received great care. Several of the litter were very sick & weak and only 4 of the litter survived. When they were about 6 week s old the puppies were moved to another foster home. Drake now lives in a foster home with several other dogs and puppies (multiple breeds and sizes). Drake is a very loving and playful dog. He has had some basic training but he needs a family who is willing to make sure he learns good behaviors so he will grow up to be a good canine citizen.

Born September 1, 2013

Drake and his sister, Mocha, are the only ones from the litter who have not been adopted. They would love a home together but we are willing to adopt them out separately if necessary.

Do you have an active family? Are you ready to add some love to your life? Drake and Mocha are ready for you!

Drake was DNA’d. He is ½ Staffordshire Terrier, ¼ German Shepherd, and ¼ Labrador Retriever.

About Cherished K-9 All Breed Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Big or small we love them all!

Our mission is to rescue and re-home neglected, abused and abandoned dogs.

We are a small rescue that picks up dogs off the streets and helps them find their homes or helps them find new homes.

We also help find homes for dogs that have been relinquished by their owners. In addition, we pull last-chance dogs from our local animal shelter.

Our goal is to assist the rescue community in our area in decreasing the euthanasia rate at the shelter.

Our dogs live in foster homes while waiting to be adopted. Our fosters love and care for them as if they are their own dogs.

We cannot do what we do without your help! Foster, Adopt or Donate today!

If you are interested in fostering or adopting one of our dogs, please email us at CherishedK-9s@hotmail.com

Our Adoption Process...

After filling our our required Adoption Application, we will schedule a home visit. The home visit is to make sure our dog gets along with any existing pets in the home. We also check for obvious hazards and make sure the yard is secure.

If everything checks out OK, the next step is the Adoption Application, which finalizes the adoption. There is an adoption fee for each dog. (All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and micro-chipped.)

After the adoption is complete, there are follow-up wellness checks to make sure everything is working out for the adopters and the adopted dog.

At any time after the adoption is finalized, if the adopter decides to get rid of the dog, it must be returned to Cherished K-9 All Breed Rescue.
