Mallory Morningstar's Story...
Mallory is a young mother who is dedicated to her 9 puppies. She has the best personality, great with kids and other dogs too. She likes to run and chase the other dogs when there is excitement over a squirrel, and she would love to snuggle too, if she wasn\'t busy caring for her puppies! I think her true personality will come out more once puppies are weaned and she can begin to live her life again. She is a gorgeous girl and is eager to please. I am so glad she has her whole life ahead of her and she deserves to be spoiled and pampered after bringing 9 healthy babies into the world!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mallory Morningstar, a Houston Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Houston, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
