Cinnamon's Story...
F, 3 Years, Chow Mix
Hi! My name is Cinnamon and I’m the sweetheart of the shelter! I am gentle, calm, and oh so sweet. The nice people at MaxFund just can’t get over how adorable and gentle natured I am!
My life has been difficult so far. I was dumped in a mountain forest when pregnant and had to forage for myself & later for my 11 pups. I was such an amazing mom and took great care of my babies but living in the forest is no life for a dog like me. My luck did turn when a kind family found me and my family. They brought me here to MaxFund so I could find my forever home!
Despite all of these challenges, I have stayed true to my sweet nature. I am a dog wise beyond my years but still love to go for walks ( I walk extremely well on a leash), play fetch, and learn new tricks. Loud voices and heavy hands will not work for me as I am still learning to fully trust the kindness of humans. I get along well with other medium to large dogs but a home with cats or small dogs might not be a good fit for me.
Please come down to the shelter to meet me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cinnamon, a Denver Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chow Chow for sale in Denver, or seeking a Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chow Chow breeders who help with Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
