My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ADOPTION PENDING!

Breed: Great Pyrenees/Collie
Age: 7 months
Weight: 28.5 pounds currently
Good with dogs: So-so dominate over siblings
Good with cats:Yes
Good with kids: Not Tested Yet
Energy Level: Medium-Low

Winnie is a beautiful young Pyrenees/Collie mix puppy. She has a medium-low energy for a puppy. She plays with other dogs and will get down in the play bow to let others know she wants to play. She will try and be dominant so a submissive playmate would be good for her. Winnie loves squeaky toys and will hold them in her mouth to show them off. Winnie likes her people to give her belly rubs. Winnie would make a great companion and would like to hangout with you on the couch or on her very own bed. Can you give Winnie the love and forever home she needs?

Unless otherwise indicated, all Double Dog Rescue dogs have received the following before being available for adoption:

Thorough veterinary examination

All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella (kkennel cough), Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, Deworming

Spay/Neuter

All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.

If any dog shows any signs of disease or ailment, DDR vets the dog until he or she has a clean bill of health to the best of our knowledge. This includes anything from being treated for Heartworm, Broken Leg, Cherry Eye, Torn ACL, Upper Respiratory etc.)

NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 4 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
