My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

So here we have another Weim baby, this Boy is SANTANA a gorgeous 5 yr purebred Grey Weimaraner. All the way from Texas. Santana is on the smaller side for a Weim but what a package Santana weighs in at 67lb he is not tall. He is super friendly and has the most infectious smile. Santana is our mischievous little boy.
SANTANA s story >>>> SANTANA is a sweet boy that found himself in a high kill shelter in Fort Worth Texas and he really was a last chance boy. Seconds before he was set to be euthanized we got him to safety. We looked at this boys photograph and he was so scared. He had not been in the shelter long but it was long enough to have him terrified. Santana was turned in by his owner for what reason we do not know, We saw footage of him arriving and judging from what we saw he did not have a particularly good life. Irrelevant that his owner was informed he would only get 48 hours before they would Euthanize him he still went ahead and left Santana there to perish. I cant imagine why anyone would give this sweet boy up but that is where Santana's story starts back in June of last year. Of course Santana had no vetting so he was immediately transferred to a Dallas vet. There Santana was fully vetted and neutered. Santana's results for his heart worm test came back positive. In the next few weeks Santana was boarded at the vet until his transport to Florida was arranged. Santana finally arrived to us in July we were anxious to meet him we had had some wonderful reports and we were not disappointed. Santana was placed in foster and had his treatment with his foster mom in Tampa he has gone through Heart worm treatment He is now H/W Negative and enjoying life running and playing with others. So what can we tell you about Santana >>This boy is so lovable he deserves a family that will give him the love and attention he deserves. He will warm to you and just melt your heart Like most Weimaraners he loves to be around humans and will follow you around, He likes to go for walks and is just as happy staying with you indoors as long as you are around he is the happiest boy.Santana is a busy boy always wanting to do something. He loves to run and play, Santana was not taught much it would seem by his previous owner but we have worked with him and he is more obedient now and knows commands.Like most Weimaraners he loves car rides and he is excellent in the car. Santana does suffer a little separation anxiety and you may have to work with him when you leave him for a while and he gets used to your routine and to the fact you are coming back to him. His separation anxiety is not excessive, and this will diminish once he has the knowledge of security and stability. At night time he will sleep on a sofa or a bed however he is a Weimy and just loves to sleep on your bed he loves to be close to his humans a typical Weimy Velcro boy. He is housebroken, he will go to the door when he needs to go out to potty. He will come when called. Santana is at his happiest around humans, he bonds well. Its so hard not to fall in love with him. Santana is intelligent and a smart learner. and will fit in with your routine with ease.
He is neutered, current on all vaccinations and he is micro.chipped. He is happiest being in a family environment and enjoying freedom to relax in the home. We are looking to find Santana a wonderful forever home where he can have stability and security in his life. Someone that does not work long hours so he is left alone for long periods.
We are looking for a forever home that can cherish him and give him the love and attention he needs, A family that is really stable and can give him that forever home that means forever. We dont ever want to see this boy back in a shelter,he is good around Children. A family that will include him in their lifestyle and activities would be perfect, He will just get better with the right interaction. .
A home with a fenced in yard or acreage where he can run and play is essential for Santana. He would do well with another dog he loves the females, or being an only dog with lots of family interaction. Cats I would say is workable there are cats he sleeps with at his foster home , but he will chase a cat in the yard. Santana is a big love bug and any issues with him are minor and workable. What a super boy.
Could you be the one to open up your heart and home, and make Santanas`s life complete again if so you will be rewarded with a wonderful , loyal faithful friend that will bring you endless hours of pleasure.
