Duke's Story...
Duke is a CALM, friendly guy whose main goal is to relax and keep you company. He is low energy but still likes to take regular walks; he walks great on a leash. He is a 7 year old lab mix and truly is the easiest dog to have around. He would be a wonderful companion dog, and would fit in very nicely to a calm home environment. He is wonderful with ALL people and he gets along great with other dogs. He doesn't play much with other dogs but he does just fine around them. He isn't a barker, and he is happy (in calm Duke fashion) to meet new people. He is 100% housetrained and he doesn't need a crate. He is being fostered near Huntsville, AL and we would love for you to meet him.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duke, a Homewood Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Homewood, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Homewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
