My story

Hi, my name is “Spike” and I am really looking forward to becoming part of your family!

As you might imagine, MANY people fall in love with me because of my unique and very cool appearance! I am SOOOO very glad they picked me from the OC Shelter a few months ago to participate in this program!!! For sure it was THE BEST day of my life as my previous owners did not have a lot of time to spend with me I was at the shelter for over a month and very shy.
Everyone has come to love me because of my playful and loving personality! The best part of my day is being able to play and spend time with you as my trainers did a great job teaching me some cute tricks like “Spin” and “Roll-over!”

Since I’m quite small, I am a bit shy when meeting people for the first time, especially tall people. If you don’t mind bending down to say hello in the beginning, it will go a long way to help me become comfortable in my new home. It’s also helpful if new people play with me with a squeaky toy or a small ball! Once I settle into my new home and am comfortable I will be sure to let you know if someone new comes around your home. I like the company of other dogs, especially ones my size, but it typically takes me a few minutes to “sort things out” as I’m a bit suspicious by nature.

I certainly will love you forever and look forward to being part of a happy, “fur-ever” family!!!
