Lolly's Story...
Meet lovely Lolly! She was at a high kill shelter Kentucky. She was kept outside all of her life. She was an owner surrender.

She had a rotten case of demodex (non-contigious mange). She completed treatment for demodex and her beautiful chocolate coat is growing back. Lolly tested positive for heart worms. Lolly started heartworm treatment as of 10/14/13. As of 2014, Lolly is free of heart worms and demodex.

Lolly is a beautiful gal. She will warm your heart with her bright golden eyes and wiggle butt. She loves to be petted. She knows "sit." She does very well in her crate. She loves other dogs and cats! She really likes to snuggle the kitties.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lolly, a Shelbyville Labrador Retriever/Chesapeake Bay Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Chesapeake Bay Retriever for sale in Shelbyville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Chesapeake Bay Retriever dog from a breeder in Shelbyville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Shelbyville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Shelbyville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Chesapeake Bay Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Chesapeake Bay Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Shelbyville paves the way for another one to be saved.
