My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kramer is extremely gentle and loving. He took to us right away and has become our new best friend. He has a gorgeous soft coat and overall looks healthy, although he could probably shed a couple pounds. The white in Kramer's face makes him look a little older than 5 but he still plays and gets excited like a puppy.

Here is what else the foster family had to say about Kramer:

Kramer loves to snuggle on the couch beside (or on) me but he also loves to play with our dog Ray and go for walks. They can play for about an hour straight, running around etc. Although we've only had Kramer for 2 days it does not appear that he sheds at all (and if he does, it is nothing in comparison to Ray).

Kramer has been very friendly and lovely to everyone he has met so far. We were warned that he may be fearful of men but he greeted Steve right away with lots of kisses and tail wagging. He seems to be quite friendly with everyone he's met so far.He may keep his distance at first but after a quick sniff he is all over you! Kramer is very respectful of our other pup Ray. Even when Ray tries to play with him and Kramer doesn't want to - he is polite and keeps his distance rather than showing any signs of aggression. Haven't been to the dog park or seen that many dogs on our short walks (mostly due to the weather!!), but he appears to be completely fine! When I picked him up from Sara's, he seemed completely fine with the cats and other dogs.

He is the most gentle little pup ever. Even playing with Ray, he hasn't used his mouth at all. And other than a quiet, short growl when he hears the neighbour open or close their door, I haven't heard a peep out of him. He whines and cries a bit when i leave for work in the morning but he settles down quickly and resumes whatever he was doing. I think he is really just a loyal dog who will bond to his human very quickly.

Kramer seems to be pretty fearless! Haven't noticed anything in particular that he is afraid of. He really enjoys being beside his humans for a nice belly rub. He will nudge your hand with his nose repeatedly until you keep petting him :) He can also be active though and loves going for walks. He has not tried to get anywhere that he shouldn't yet or chew anything at all. He does sniff the garbage quite a bit though (he might pursue if he isn't corrected right away), and he will rest his face on your lap while you're eating or stand by your feet while cooking. I think he just really loves food!

He seems to know his basic commands such as "sit" and "down". And he definitely knows "walk" - he goes crazy! Kramer has been perfectly house trained. He has not been signalling when he has to go out but I'm sure he would with proper routine. Right now, we have been taking him out about every 4-6 hours and he will do his business right away. We have not been crating but rather leaving him in our bedroom when we leave the house. He has not made any accidents and as far as I know (haven't received any neighbour complaints), hasn't barked or made much noise. Kramer is OK on the leash - he pulls quite a bit and lets his nose lead him. Judging from how excited he gets when we tell him we're going for a walk, perhaps he hasn't had much leash experience? I'm sure he will get better with time. He does not try to escape when the door is open but he will wait there to see if you'll let him out. He has only been in the car with us once so far and he was very adventurous! He explored every nook and cranny. By the end of the trip, though, he did sit calmly in the passenger seat.

Kramer is a VERY loving and faithful dog who would be perfect for someone who will return the love and attention. He is so cute that you just want to hug him and kiss him all the time. I think he would be great for any type of home considering he is so gentle and loving. It would be nice to see him go to a home where he will be really loved and appreciated and taken for walks on a regular basis, as it makes him so happy!! At the same time, though, Kramer would be a nice match for someone older since he is easily adaptable and has a moderate-to-low energy level.

If you think Kramer would be a good addition to your family, please submit an application for consideration.
