Curly's Story...
"Who's the little dog at the El Cajon Animal Shelter that's "practically perfect in every way?" It's me…CURLY. I'm a six-year-old Miniature Poodle who is cute and affectionate, and I get along great with everybody. I love people, and I play very nicely and respectfully with other dogs. I'd be a wonderful little house dog for just about any person or family. I'd want to have a soft and snuggly bed in my new house, as I'll want to spend most of my time with my person or family. I'm a very good boy, so I'm quite sure that you'll enjoy having me around, too. You'll also be happy to know that I've already been house trained. Won't you come visit me at the El Cajon Animal Shelter? We have a great play yard here where we can get better acquainted. Maybe you could sit on the nice bench while you pet me. Doesn't that sound nice? I'll be watching for you and listening for the sound of your footsteps as you approach my kennel, so please hurry on over as soon as you can. Love, Curly" Kennel #9

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Curly, a El Cajon Miniature Poodle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Poodle for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Miniature Poodle dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Poodle breeders who help with Miniature Poodle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
