Josie's Story...
"Do you want a special little dog who will bring absolute joy into your life? Then look no further. My name is JOSIE, and I'm a gentle and loving five-year-old Chihuahua cutie-pie who loves to snuggle. I have a heart of gold, and I get along well with everybody. I'd be the perfect family pet, and I get along beautifully with other dogs. I enjoy going on walks, but my favorite activity will be sitting on your lap. Just look into my warm, beautiful eyes, and you'll be able to see the loving, wonderful dog within. You'll also be pleased to know that I've already been house trained, and that I'd do well in either a house or an apartment. I'll be waiting for you, so please come visit me really soon. I'm at the El Cajon Animal Shelter, so just ask one of our helpful staff if we can spend some time getting to know each other in the nice play yard that they have here. Once you hold me in your arms, you'll never want to let me go. Love, Josie" Kennel #53

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Josie, a El Cajon Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
