Lucille (or rather Lucy) is a very, very special cat. She and her brother were born with cerebral hypoplasia. What does this mean? Well, it just means that Lucy has a bad sense of balance. She falls over quite easily and she also moves a little funny (she could go on Monty Python) with her stiff splay-legged walk. Hey, don't feel sorry for her -- she can run and boy can she jump! She uses the litter box and eats normally with a few adjustments. She doesn't meo, but she chatters a little instead and "perts" when she wants to play tag or get your attention. Lucy and her brother are both loving, affectionate, sweet cats who are full of personality. They love people and follow their foster mom around the apartment wanting to help. They play with all sorts of toys, with the favourite so far being sparkly pom pom balls and a cardboard box. They scratch on their scratching post and love a good cuddle while watching TV.

This very sweet kitty needs very special, loving people to look after her and her brother. Other than their funny walk and bad balance, they are perfectly normal. Sweet Lucy and her brother Ricky are looking for that perfect home they deserve. They will both be wonderful additions to any household, providing oodles of affection and entertainment !

Lucille must be adopted with her brother Ricky. Watch them on their very own YouTube video...and fall in love :).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucille, a Vancouver Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
