My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Eeyore has arrived! He was retired from a veterinary program where he helped train our newest technicians, veterinarians, and other animal lovers. Now he is looking for the retirement he deserves as a loved and spoiled housepet! :)

I'm going to be honest and tell you that my name is Eeyore because people used to see me as a gloomy kind of guy. Just a few months ago, that may have been true - I didn't really know what to expect of my new life and I wasn't sure I would like it. I am still a little unsure in new environments and with new people, but if you give me some time and love, you will get to see the big heart I have to share with you I am cratetrained (although I do not like my crate) and am working on my housetraining. Although I like to play with other dogs in the yard, I would really prefer to be an only dog because living with other dogs 24/7 can get on my nerves a little bit. Cats are OK. I would love a calmer home, maybe with older children, or even no children at all would be OK. I just need a family that will be patient with me and not overwhelm me. I I like to think about things carefully before I file them away in my mind because even the smallest things deserve genuine appreciation. Now that my gloomy days are behind me, I am still a little nervous of what is to come - but everyone who knows me says that my little rays of sunshine are going to touch the life of a Very Special Someone and I will have sent those pesky rainclouds away for good!
