Jackson's Story...
Meet Jackson! Jackson is a two-year-old, male, neutered, Maltipoo. Rescued from the county shelter on November 19th, Jackson has been a great addition to The PRC family. He is such a cute boy with a lots of fun to offer a new family. He loves his toys and serious cuddle time. He has done well socializing with the other small dogs here and will only get better as time goes on. Jackson has a funny haircut because he had severe matting from head to toe and needed a full shave down. When his hair grows out he will be a golden, curly, low shedding boy. He is ready to go as soon as he finds a new forever home!
Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email Casey Oliver at adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.

All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. You can find our application online at: http://www.thepetrescuecenter.org/adoptapet.html. Completed applications can be faxed to (949) 743-5878 or emailed to: adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org

Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies and boarding while the animals are in our care.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jackson, a Mission Viejo Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Mission Viejo, or seeking a Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Mission Viejo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mission Viejo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mission Viejo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mission Viejo paves the way for another one to be saved.
