My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoption Fee: $350
Fostered in Louisiana
Age: 5 years
Weight: 10 lbs.
12/21/13 - I think I used to be a baker in my former life because I am always coming up with tasty new recipes (hence the fact that I’m overweight, lol). Such as my recipe for "The Perfect Life". You take 1 whole dad, 1 whole mom, 1-2 other fursiblings (optional), 1 dog bed, 2 dog bowls, 5 dog toys and a houseful of love. Combine all these ingredients under 1 roof and let it sit for approximately 8 years. Now that is no doubt the tastiest recipe for "The Perfect Life" any dog could ask for. Bon Appetit!

I'm “Chef Jack”. I'm a loving guy with loads of personality. I love to play with humans and give them kisses. I do fine co-existing with other dogs, just haven’t started to play with them yet in my foster home. I walk well on a leash, do great with a bath and am fine with cats. I'm also a very dedicated, devoted animal who will bond to my owner(s) and love them wholeheartedly. What can I say, I'm pretty much a dream dog.

You are probably asking yourself “if you are so perfect, Jack, then why are you in rescue”? Well, I wonder that too. Seems my previous family got WAY busy after having another human child and they worked very long hours, so my fur-sister (who has been adopted, don’t worry, we weren’t bonded enough to have to stay together), and I stayed in our crate many hours of the day, sometimes 16 to be more exact. So you can imagine my delight when I entered my foster home and my foster mom said she was retired and was home all day and I had free roam of the home. Wow! Seriously, no jail?

You would think since I was in a crate all the time and having to “hold” it, that I would be perfectly potty trained. Well, I was used to holding it when there was no where to go. Seems there’s places to go now. I’m learning, and with the help of the people with the thumbs to open the door and go out with me, I will do my business outside, but for now, I’m wearing a belly band inside. I’m not to keen on it, and sometimes I just sit down and don’t move for awhile, but foster says that I have to learn to like it for now until I get a little better holding it. I’ll take this over being crated any day.

I’m a little overweight from all the non-activity I used to have, but we are working on decreasing my wasteline. Well, I better go for now, one of the other foster pups in the home needs the computer to see if he has received any applications. I check mine later, after I give everyone a chance to read my bio.

If I don’t join you in your home for the holidays, I’d just like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and send you thoughts of adding to your home for the New Year!

12/16/13 - BIO COMING SOON!
