Dixie's Story...
DIXIE is 2-3 years old and 25 lbs of adorable. She is as sweet as they come and just loves everyone. Her tail is always wagging and she has the cutest spotted belly, that she loves to have rubbed. Dixie needs a home with a secure fence. She can climb and escaped from a house where she was visiting. They had a few dips in the chain link fence and she was just smart enough to take advantage. She has however, been in her foster home for over 2 months getting vetted and socialized and has not ever dug or tried to escape. Dixie is playful but not hyper at all. She enjoys playing with other dogs, but sometimes will get scared of the bigger dogs and seems to love human attention, even more than canine companionship. She would do well in a home with a small or meduim canine sibling or as an only dog getting all of the attention to herself. Dixie is being fostered in Birmingham, AL. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie, a Knoxville Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
