My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

~ Twas weeks before Christmas, in a rescuer’s house...
~ A puppy was stirring, not much bigger than a mouse!
~ His folks snuggled in close with love and great care, ~
~ As they dreamed of happy homes that might one day be theirs!

Well Hello-ho-ho-ho there! As the holidays roll in, we have a special little guy, NICK CLAUSE in NBS Animal Rescue! Mr. and Mrs. Clause, and their sweet little baby, Buddy (the elf, of course). Mr and Mrs. Clause are better known in their foster homes by their first names, Nick and Jessica.

Nick and Jessica are very funny, playful, and incredibly social. They LOVE to bounce around, chasing toys and giving plenty of kisses. Even though Nick is so small, there is some big doggy love in his little body. He is always jumping around, trying to play with his foster siblings, or finding the coziest spot on the couch. These sweet, playful parents are so high spirited and joyful, you’d never believe that they were just left in a cardboard box at the Saginaw animal shelter with their little one.

Lucky for this pawsome little family, they are all safe and loved in foster care with NBS volunteers. Nick is a lover, and happy to snuggle up close after a long day of tussling with squeaky toys.. Together, they are a perfect pair to romp and play with each other. They are both very, very social – and just love getting all the attention and affection they can get. Nick and Jessica are estimated to barely be a year old. Our Little Buddy is getting bigger every day, and his foster mom is always making sure he is fed, weighed and growing up to be a big, little dog– just like his parents.

As Buddy is still so young, he still has about 6 weeks until he can officially be adopted. Due to his very small nature, we’d prefer that he go to a home with children 12+. We'd also hope and just love to see Nick and Jessica adopted together! (Individual applications are still welcome and accepted!)

Currently, we are accepting and looking forward to applications for any of the Clause dogs, as they all will be needing loving homes to play, snuggle and be loved in. Thank you for helping us find our Christmas Crew doggies homes, by sharing their story.. If you would like one of these sweet pups to be a member of your family, please fill out an application on our website, www.NBSanimalrescue.com
Nick’s adoption fee is $250.00 and includes DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, De-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food.

If you think that Jessica and/or Nick might be the perfect addition to your family, please contact the awesome volunteers at N.B.S. Animal Rescue at nbsanimalrescue@gmail.com for any additional information or answers to any questions you might have.

You can fill out a simple online adoption application at www.nbsar.org and we will start processing your application right away! We do require that persons interested in meeting me apply online and be approved as an adopter first so please visit our website and submit your application today!

Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on it's vaccinations and heartworm preventative as well as spayed/neutered unless there is a documented medical reason on file with your veterinarian. Dogs must be current on DHLPP, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative, cats must be current on Distemper, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative at the time of application.

While I hope that you have fallen in love with me and will fill out an adoption application right away, I understand if I might not be the perfect pup for your family. Would you please help me by sharing my picture and information on your Facebook page, or e-mail to your friends and family members? I'm a great pup and I really deserve a loving family to give all of my love and puppy kisses to! Thank-you for your help!
