Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Roo is a sweetheart of a small 12lb Beagle/Terrier/Chihuahua mix. She looks just like a mini german shephard! Roo loves to play outside and definitely loves to chase squirrels. She is house trained, knows: sit, down, roll over, and shake. She is crate trained but doesn't currently use it and doesn't bother anything in the house. When Roo was adopted at age 5 months old, both of her front legs had been broken because of abuse. It's no wonder she is a little nervous at first around strangers! When she gets nervous she barks, and will hide behind her trusted humans. Roo is a big snuggler especially at night and is mellow once she is comfortable. She is great to hike with, and easy to travel with. She loves the car!
We will not place Roo with young children because of her initial nervousness. She would be great for an active couple. Roo is respectful with other dogs and cats; as always, a good introduction is necessary. She met some of our volunteers and did well after initial shyness, especially because they had treats to offer. Roo is such a cutie pie! She is being surrendered by a local family because they have to move and can't keep Roo ; 0 (

Please note, we do not have a physical location, but we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.
