Wyatt's Story...
HOLY SMOKE WHAT A GOOD BOY WYATT IS.......He is a 3 year old redbone coonhound. He was found running in the middle of traffic on a busy highway. It just happened to be his lucky day when he ran out in front of us. We stopped the car and blocked traffic, meanwhile Wyatt just sat down in the road an waited for us to approach him. We told him to come on......Well he did and the rest is history. Wyatt is very well rounded. He loves everyone and everything. He gets along well with other dog and cats alike. He loves other dogs so much that we would prefer him to go into a home with another dog. He loves to give hugs and will literally hug you like he is human. He is medium energy. He will need a fenced in yard or a human who is very active outdoors and will allow Wyatt to join them. We would not reccomend letting him off leash in a non fenced area. Sometimes hounds noses will take them places they don't need to go. He loves loves loves to cuddle on the couch with his peeps and also sleep in bed with them. He is a favorite with everyone that meets him. Wyatt is up to date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchiped, heartworm negative, and kept on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Wyatt is currently being fosterd in TN, but will be transported to New England via H.E.A.R.T.S., LLC Transport (www.heartsllc.com) once we have a confirmed adoption. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wyatt, a Westport Redbone Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Redbone Coonhound for sale in Westport, or seeking a Redbone Coonhound dog from a breeder in Westport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Redbone Coonhound breeders who help with Redbone Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westport paves the way for another one to be saved.
