My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone my name is Benjamin and I am a dogo mix around 2 years old. I, like a lot of other white dogs, am deaf but my foster mom says that I am very smart and eager to learn - I just learn differently! I had some sort of injury to my back leg and because of it, my joint became septic. The vet decided that the best thing to do was amputate my leg. Don't worry though, it hasn't slowed me down at all - in fact I feel much better! Foster mom keeps telling me I am handicapable! I am heartworm positive but am currently going through slow kill treatment for it and those icky worms will be gone soon.

I LOVE people of all ages, including kids, but I'm a big boy (~80 lbs) and sometimes am clumsy, so I would probably be best with kids 5 and older. I also love to cuddle and can't be close enough to my "people"! Literally, I like to be hugged up against them when we are relaxing! I like other dogs and my BFF is another tripod at my foster mom's house, name Poppy, but I like everyone. Foster mom isn't sure about cats, but when it's cold they bring one named Tom in to sleep in a crate and I don't bother him. I am also potty/house-trained, as well as crate-trained.
