Jezebela is an incredibly sweet and wonderful cat facing a lot of challenges. This gorgeous 10-year-old tuxedo was born on the streets of Los Angeles in April 2003. She has a deep, motorboat purr and loves having her cheeks rubbed. Jezzie is a little shy, and prefers if people approach her slowly or let her come to them. Once you start petting her, she falls in love, and will follow you around. She also enjoys sunbathing, being brushed and playing with her catnip toys. She prefers to hang out on the ground, and is very clever about opening cupboards and turning the undersides of tables and cabinets into little nests. Unfortunately, Bela has a lot of health problems. She has epilepsy and an unknown condition that's been misdiagnosed several times. We are currently working with her vets to figure out what's going on. Her main symptoms are bloody urine and skin problems. She suffers from abdominal discomfort, and doesn't like being picked up. She is very good about using her litter box, but occasionally has accidental leaks. She also has delicate skin, and grooms it excessively, pulling out clumps of fur. Despite her health problems, Jezzie is a sweet and affectionate cat who will love you devotedly. She enjoys the company of other cats, and would probably be alright around dogs if they are calm and willing to give her space. Jezzie needs a family committed to her well-being and able to make the right choices to ensure her quality of life. They will be rewarded by a grateful, loving little angel who will enjoy nothing more than being by their side. Bela is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines.

About Animal Rights and Rescue Association

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small group dedicated to rescuing animals off the streets and promoting animal rights and welfare through education, legislation, and social action. We primarily focus on animals with special needs, who need extra socialization or have health problems. We do not have a shelter, instead our animals live with their rescuer or in foster care until they are adopted. Due to our small size, WE CANNOT TAKE ANIMALS FROM THE PUBLIC.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We are too small to have our own shelter. If you're interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us and we'll set up a meeting.

Our Adoption Process...

If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us. We will e-mail you an application and make arrangements for you to meet the animal. We try to pick the best-fit family for each animal, and arrange a home visit to drop the animal off. We have an adoption fee of $100 for cats, $125 for kittens and $150 for dogs. All our animals are fixed, microchipped, dewormed, up-to-date on vaccines and healthy before they go to their permanent homes. Cats are also combo tested.
