My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATED BIO 03/15/2014: Daisy here! In case you forgot, I am a purebred Silky Terrier girl that is 10 yrs old, 6 lbs and being fostered in Ft. Myers, FL.

Just checking in with my fans.....I have been around a while now and foster mom says there are lots of people who like us older girls like me....I just haven't found my match yet, or they haven't found me. I love to cuddle with my people, go on walks and play in our dog park. I did have a boyfriend but his people moved, so I do like other dogs and even kitties, too. I do have a kittie sister here who likes to play taps on my head. Yep, I am pretty easy- going and am house-trained and very well-behaved. I do have a partially collapsed trachea and can sound like a horn when I get excited, but that is my only bad thing......

Could I be your Daisers girl?

Love,

Daisy

Updated Bio 01/30/14: Hi everyone it is me Daisy. I am 11 and even though I am a senior, foster mom says I have energy like a kid. Life in the new place is awesome. I have a new boyfriend I met here named Nitro....so I do get along with other dogs and kitties. I am the only dog now so I like having someone home to keep me company. Foster dad and I snuggle all day. I do have some trachea issues and I make funny noises when I get excited. Taking naps is my favorite thing to do next to my walks where I go to a dog park and play with other doggies. Could I be part of your family?

Love,

Daisy

UPDATED BIO 08/08/2013: DAISY is an adorable purebred Silky Terrier that is 10 years young (going on 6 years young) and weighs 7 lbs; Daisy is being fostered in Punta Gorda, FL.

Daisy says: Hi everybody! I have lost some weight from my daily walks, and chasing {or should I say being chased by} my foster sister Faith. I am a very happy girl! For being an older girl, my only issues are 1) a weak bladder ~ I am taking an RX medication Proin for this and it really helps; and 2) a trachea that will make funny sounds if I get really excited and bark.

I really love Foster Mom and Dad, but I really want a forever home. An older couple who are home most of the time would be ideal for me since I need to go potty every couple hours. I am totally a couch potato who just wants to be loved and adored. I am very silly, love to flirt and love fresh apples and carrots for treats. Do I sound like a girl you could love? Xoxoxo

UPDATED BIO 06/27/2013: Hello everyone. My name is Daisy. Foster mom calls me Daiser? Such a silly foster mom. I am still waiting for my family who wants to give me a forever home, but while I was waiting I had a very important job and that was taking care of my little foster sister Faith. She was hit by a car and had many ouchies. I helped foster mom keep Faith safe. I am very protective, and I know when someone needs me. I love to lay next to you, and will sit with you all day. I will help you cook and do laundry. See how talented I am?? I am potty trained and I tell foster mom when I have to go by barking. I would prefer someone who is home all day so I don’t panic and have my separation anxiety. I am on a medication for bladder control, but I only have accidents if I am home a long time by myself. Foster Mom says I am a good girl, very patient and I like other dogs and cats. I am a little older 10, but I go for long walks, and am staying in tip top shape waiting for you.

Call soon!

Love Daisy

UPDATED BIO 04/25/2013: Daisy is a 10.5 year old 11.5 lb girl who is being fostered in Punta Gorda, FL.

Hi everyone it is me Daisy - My owner left me to go to heaven, so I am in a foster home waiting for my new family. I am a very laid back happy girl. I would love someone who is home a lot who is willing to cuddle. I love to sit next to my person all day watching TV, working on the computer, and just helping you with everything. I even teach foster mom how to fold the laundry, and exercise. I am potty trained, and I am on a medication called Proin for bladder control. I have a small bladder so I need to go out and potty very often, barking is how I tell you I need to go out. I get along with other animals, but would be happiest being the queen of the house, as long as someone is home with me. I will love you with my whole heart, so I am waiting patiently for you to find me. could it be you?

Love,

Daisy

UPDATED BIO 03/06/2013: Daisy Dukes is 10 1/2 years old girl who weighs 11.5 lbs and is being fostered in Punta Gorda. Daisy had this to say:

Hi ya’all- I am Daisy, and this is the first bio I have had to write. Let me see, where do I start? I have had 3 owners, and my last one, she got really sick and no one could take care of me. I think she went to the people’s rainbow bridge, so I ended up with my new foster parents. I am on inexpensive pills for a weak bladder, just like my foster sister Kelly. I am potty trained, and I love to snuggle, I am the biggest baby in the whole wide world. I get along with other dogs, and kitties too, but I think I would prefer to be the only queen in the house with someone who is home all the time. I would not be happy if I had to be in a house all day by myself. I like to follow FM all around, and help her with things, like cleaning, and vacuuming, putting away the groceries is my favorite, there are all these bags that come in, and the brown paper ones?????? Wow are they fun to push around the room. I am a very exceptional little girl( not sure what that means, but that is what FD says to me.) Ad-ur-able is another one he uses, what does that mean? I have had all my shots, and my toofers just got cleaned, and the vet says I am in great shape. I am a silly girl, who loves walks, and just being loved. I also have my own little designer wardrobe, so there........ hee hee. Could I be your new punkin?

INITIAL BIO 01/28/2013: MEET DAISY! She is 10 1/2 years old and weighs 11.5 lbs. Daisy has had a sad life so far; she was rescued from a puppymill where she gave birth to beautiful babies that were taken away from her much too early. She has had 3 prior owners, but her last owner recently passed away and there were no family members that could take Daisy. Daisy has a small bladder and is currently taking a medication for bladder control. She also has a partially collapsed trachea, but is not on medication for it and only has occasional coughing. In spite of this, Daisy has a very sweet temperament and is used to being the Princess in her home; she loves attention. She gets along with other dogs and can be placed in a home with older children. Could your home provide Daisy with the security and love in a forever home ~ one that she would never ever have to leave again.
