Billy's Story...
Meet Billy! This handsome little guy is about 4 months old and oh so sweet. He is a an easy going little pup. He takes a minute to warm up in new situations, but is short lived. He is very friendly and playful. Billy is good with other dogs. He is part of an unwanted litter and that is how he came into rescue. He is good on a leash and loves to go for walks. Billy is just about crate trained. He is a smart pup and catches on quickly. He would be a great addition to a loving home. Billy is a healthy boy. He is neutered, up to date on shots, and microchipped. Billy is currently in Louisiana, but transport is available to the northeast area at no additional fee. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Billy, a Portsmouth Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Portsmouth, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Portsmouth.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portsmouth already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portsmouth breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portsmouth paves the way for another one to be saved.
