My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

IDGSR WELCOMES STELLA INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE

Stella is the most genteel lovely lady you will ever meet. She is gentle, loving, affectionate, great with children, cats, other dogs and people.
She is a submissive female who is an absolute dollbaby.
To say that Stella was neglected would be an understatement.
You'd think the that Stella has had the worst stroke of bad luck and that no one loved her till IDGSR came to her rescue.
Stella came to us in August in terrible condition. She was emaciated, looked as if she'd had pups in the last several months, had approx. 40 ticks on her, she was just a mess. She is also a light heartworm positive, and we are treating her with the slow kill method so as to not use the toxic method and stress her anymore, it can take up to a year for them to become heartworm negative, we will supply her adopters with the meds. To make matters worse Stella also has seizures on occasion. We've had complete blood panels done on her on multiple occasions and while she is now stable and healthy, we have opted to hold off on doing any medication for the seizures at this time because it may or may not work, her seizures are irregular. We do have video of her seizures and will share those with the applicant.

You're probably thinking, why on earth would I want to adopt a dog like Stella? she's got problems, issues, etc.
But ask yourself this, Why Not Stella?
None of us are perfect, most of us have or know someone who has some medical condition. Maybe you are a previous owner of a dog with seizures, maybe you have what it takes to care for a dog like Stella, maybe Stella will be the love of a lifetime for you.
Despite Stella having the problems that she is facing, she does not let it get her down, she is happy, fun loving, active , a total cuddle bunny, affectionate, kissy face,
and remember, she is CAT FRIENDLY!
We've had special adopters for our special needs dogs before, not only does it warm our hearts that their are people out there who are willing to take on dogs like this, it truly encourages us in the face of all the cruelty we see, that their are people who have this much love in their hearts to love a special needs dog.
Stella is fostered in TN and we have multiple other videos of her. Please feel free to email at ImInDangerGSRescue@gmail.com
