Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ruger was rescued from a county shelter in Tennessee along with his siblings this past fall. Most of the pups from his litter have found their homes, but Ruger is one that is still looking. He's only about 7 months old as of early March and still has some learning to do (as any dog this age would) but he is doing very well so far. He is house broken, does quite well on a leash, gets along with other dogs, and fully up to date on all of his vet work. He just recently came to a foster home in the northeast that has 3 active children and a 5 year old lab mix. He is doing well overall, but is a bit timid as he tries to figure out what this new life is all about. For now he is preferring to watch what is going on, but does like to be with his family, will go after balls in the yard, and an overall happy tail wagging fellow who just needs time to figure things out.
At 7 months he is about 45-50 pounds and still has some growing to do most likely. He has a gorgeous brown coat of fur. If you think you would like to add Ruger to your family let us know and we can tell you more about him and the adoption process.
We are a shelterless rescue, which means we do not have a physical location, so it is not possible to come to see multiple dogs at one time. Ruger is one of the lucky ones who is living in a home in the northeast and could meet qualified adopters. Our adoption fee is $450 and includes all their vetting, including their spay/neuter, and transport up to the Northeast.***
