Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Chunk was about 5 weeks old when he was abandoned at the pound at the beginning of November. A nice lady from Augusta Dog Adoptions knew a pup that young should not be alone so she saved him and found him a foster home.
In Chunk's foster home he is living with young children, cats. and dogs and he is loved by all. Chunk is playful, sweet, and affectionate. He is doing well with potty training and seems to be a pretty smart guy. He does not mind being fed in his crate but has not been crate trained; he sleeps snuggled up with a member of his foster family at night.
Adopting a puppy is a big commitment as all puppies need training, patience, and lots of love. But, Chunk will be a wonderful addition for a family that is looking for a life-long companion who will give them unconditional love in return.
A $175 adoption fee ($200 for puppies under 6 mo. old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases, microchipped and vaccinated for rabies, distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites if needed. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as surgeries and dentals.
