My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maxxie and her sister Sydney are both jumbo girls, age 6, and they will do best separated in different homes as the only cat, as Maxxie bullies her sister relentlessly. We call these girls the "Grumble Toads" because they grumble, growl and fuss all the time in their cage and their tight accommodations around other cats. They hate brooms and smack us when we sweep out their cages! These girls were adopted out as kittens then returned by the owner who was moving. Maxxie needs a home where the owner will keep her on weight control food and play with her a little each day to gradually work the weight off her. She needs an experienced cat person, because only a cat person will see through her grumpy exterior and see the good girl she is. She just wants a nice, comfy home with a window and a soft bed or hidey-bed like she has in the Petsmart pet center. We feel she has probably been aggravated a lot, because she responds well to sweet talk and gentle treatment, after the initial fussing when she expects you're going to harass her. She's a beautiful girl with a lovely face, and she's very tidy with her litterbox and cage. Come see her at Colonial Heights Petsmart!
