If you'd laid eyes on this little guy when he came to us, you would be amazed that he actually made it. Severely neglected and malnourished, Ky was not a healthy kitten when he turned to the ECAS for care. After months of TLC from a shelter volunteer, this 1 year old black & white bundle of feline wonder is ready to make his next move...in to an adoptive home! Ky is an outgoing chap with a sweet nature. He loves to play and is super inquisitive. This curious cat is always busy exploring and checking everything out! Ky knows no strangers and absolutely adores his feline buddies. Ky would thrive in a home with an equally outgoing and fun-loving friend.! Handsome, Ky's coat is marked like a Dalmation. He has exquisite green eyes and a delightful personality. We'd love to introduce you to Ky, so please visit our website and complete an adoption application. About Emmet County Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

The ECAS is an all volunteer, no kill shelter. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets in need due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or from simply not being wanted! We started in 2010 due to a need in our community. We are currently a foster based organization and we are currently building our new shelter facility. We work hand in hand with other rescue and shelters in the area to help out when and where we are needed.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Check out all of our pets online at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org or send in an application to meet a specific pet! Once our shelter is open for operation stop in during our open hours to visit with a fuzzy friend in person.

Our Adoption Process...

All interested parties must fill out an adoption application and be approved prior to adoption. If a family has currently, or in the recent past had pets then a veterinary reference is required. If not then two personal references are required. Our adoption fees for dogs range from $150-$300. Our adoption fee for cats is free will donation. After an adoption has been approved an adoption contract must be signed.
