Cous Cous's Info...

I am already neutered, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Cous Cous's Story...
2-3 year old neutered male. Cous Cous, along with several other "schnoodles" was removed from a puppy mill. He has spent his entire life outside in a dirty pen with very little human contact. He is very frightened of people and although, he usually just tries to escape, he will snap if he feels threatened. He is slowly learning that people aren't trying to hurt him and is calming down. He is crate trained and has learned to walk on a leash. He will need a family that is willing to be patient with him and work with his socialization. Cous Cous loves other dogs and cats and would be happiest in a home with other pets.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cous Cous, a Smithfield Poodle (Miniature)/Schnauzer (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature)/Schnauzer (Miniature) for sale in Smithfield, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature)/Schnauzer (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Smithfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Smithfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Smithfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature)/Schnauzer (Miniature) breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature)/Schnauzer (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Smithfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
