Bagel's Story...
Bagel was living on the streets in Barstow when he was picked up and given to us by a Good Samaritan to find him a good home. We don't know what his breed mix actually is, but he does look like the Saint Bernard / Australian Shepherd mix pups that we had last year, so that's what we're going with! He is approximately 3 months old and a very cute little guy as you can see! When we first got Bagel, he had a bacterial infection of the skin which we have been treating and it's responding well and healing. He is working on his potty manners in his foster home and hasn't quite got the hang of it yet, but it's a work in progress. He gets along well with other dogs and cats and has no problems with kids either, but has those sharp little puppy teeth, so just make sure that kids understand puppy play sometimes involves teeth until they are taught better. Due to Bagel's age, the family who wants to adopt him will be in a foster-to-adopt position until the vet feels that he is old enough to neuter at which time the adoption will become final. If you would be interested in adopting Bagel, please fill out and submit an adoption application from our web site at www.sunnysaints.org and you will be contacted shortly.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bagel, a Bellflower St. Bernard/Anatolian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a St. Bernard/Anatolian Shepherd for sale in Bellflower, or seeking a St. Bernard/Anatolian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Bellflower.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellflower already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellflower breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard/Anatolian Shepherd breeders who help with St. Bernard/Anatolian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellflower paves the way for another one to be saved.
