Riley's Story...
Riley is a wonderful mix of Lhasa Apso and Havanese- two very sweet and gentle breeds. Just 10 months old and 12 lbs, Riley is almost house trained and is learning quickly. He is also learning to walk straight on a leash but he is very smart and will get it in no time! He can be tentative with strangers and clings to the person he knows so a home without young kids would be the best fit because he is a bit shy. Riley ignores other dogs mostly, is very agile and can jump very high (he likes to jump on on the bed in the middle of the night). The perfect home would have a high fence and a yard. Is Riley the right guy for you? For an adoption application and to learn about our adoption events where you can meet Riley, please www.dogswithoutborders.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Riley, a Encino Lhasa Apso/Havanese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso/Havanese for sale in Encino, or seeking a Lhasa Apso/Havanese dog from a breeder in Encino.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Encino already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Encino breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso/Havanese breeders who help with Lhasa Apso/Havanese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Encino paves the way for another one to be saved.
